How To Get People To Opt-In To Your List
Finding users to opt-in to your list is step 1 in email marketing?and is essential for this to work. One of the most popular methods to getting people to opt-in is by offering something free in exchange for a user to submit their email and name into your list. In the case of affiliate marketing, you can offer them a PLR report about driving traffic to their website, how to find good products to promote, improving SEO, etc. Offer something that your demographic would find useful and valuable enough to submit a small amount of information. If you have nothing personally you can offer, there are many websites that offer PLR products premade and ready to go for?free. I personally like to use PLR Assassin as they provide many free eBooks, software, articles, and videos to their members.
Once you chosen a product to distribute, you create a squeeze page?that gets the email and name of the person opting-in. Try to keep your squeeze page simple and sweet. An example would be: ?Learn how to increase your website traffic in 5 easy steps with this free report.? Quick, to the point, and targeted to that specific crowd.
My List Is Ready, Now What?
Great! You have a list that targets a specific audience and now you?re wondering what you could do to take advantage of those people who have opted-in to receive emails from you. If you?re doing affiliate marketing, you should take some time to choose a product that fits exactly what your list audience wants and make sure that the sales page is very attractive. Even though your email could convince them to visit the link, it is the sales page that will eventually get them to purchase.
Now that you have a product you feel comfortable promoting, start writing up a persuasive email that will get the user interested, but also be very helpful to them. You don?t want to make it seem like you are simply shoving a product in their face and screaming, ?BUY THIS YOU NEED IT!? You need to make it as legitimate as possible. This usually works best when you?ve purchased and tried the product yourself, but some will be able to sell without needing to buy the product. Don?t forget to ask the product creator general questions before deciding to promote it. You may have questions come from people on your list and you want to be ready to answer them yourself.
Keep marketing to your list
You just promoted your first item through your list and maybe brought in a few sales. Not bad right? Well don?t stop there! Find something new to market to your list, but again, do NOT make them feel like you are spamming them. Research the product and make sure it?s of high enough quality that sales will actually convert and you keep the people on your list waiting for your emails.
