Windows busted in jersey theft at Mariners Team Store

Someone broke into the Seattle Mariners Team Store at Safeco Field Wednesday, stealing jerseys and then leaving some of them behind.?

Store windows were shattered, possibly with a brick, during the early morning break-in on 1st Avenue South, according to Seattle?Police.

Around 4:15 a.m., an unknown suspect busted the window at the store's front door, dashed inside and grabbed an armful of jerseys.

Officers said the suspect stole enough merchandise to partially empty a clothing rack.

Some of the jerseys were found strewn about on the sidewalk outside the broken window.

The burglary lasted less than one minute, according to Mariners spokesperson Rebecca Hale.

No arrests have been made yet. There is no suspect description at this time.

The store will be open for the 12:40 p.m. Mariners game against the Cleveland Indians.
